My Sleeping Beauty

you were driving me crazy today! I think you have a tooth coming in, causing you to be super duper whiny and clingy. Just when I thought I couldn't take it anymore, you fell asleep on the couch. You were perfect and still and peaceful. You looked so beautiful. Suddenly, all of the anxiety and stress of the morning had melted away. and  I couldn't take my eyes off of you. Its funny how God makes babes so beautiful...... so on cranked out mornings like today, I don't loose my bananas. Instead I want to kiss your perfect little mouth and your pudgy little toes.

P.S when did you get so big????

Just Call Me Mr. Potty

After months of fighting it and peeing on my couches, this boy is POTTY TRAINED!!!!!! WOO WOO!!!! In the beginning of the week we ran out of diapers, and I told him we didn't have any money to buy new ones. He said ok and we have been naked wild boy for the past couple of days. THank goodness the weather has been so nice, we've been outside so when he did have an accident it was on the side walk, NOT my furniture. He had two accidents the first day, and since then he's gone on his little potty chair. He is BEYOND proud of himself, and I am too. I can't believe he is such a big boy now. Being in diapers was the last "little boy" thing he had left, and now that he's done, he just seems so big to me. My heart is so full when I look at him. He is such a good boy. I love love love love you baby!

Today We......

Made another attempt at potty training the boy................ He peed on this table right after I took this picture

Tried to take pictures of Sissy, but she wouldn't look up or sit still long enough for it to happen

Snuggled with Gav

watched my man hack down the tree

the boys built a sand box

I made a new hair bow for Sister.... she ripped it out and shoved it in her mouth

Played Peek A Boo after our lunch time picnic

It was a simple day spent outside. It was beautiful, and we tanned our arms as we played and cleaned the yard. I love days like this. Doing nothing, but loving being together.

Room Mates

One more thing.... the babes have been sleeping in the same room for the past week and so far so GREAT! We put Sissy down first, and about fifteen minutes later, Brother tip toes in and hops into bed. He has been so good and quiet. It has been really nice having my room back too. I can fold laundry and lay in bed with the TV and lights on. I forgot how much I missed my room. And the BEST part of the whole thing, waking up to the two of them laughing at each other.  It's seriously the cutest thing ever. Sigh..... my babes are growing up.

Hide and Go Sleep

When Gavins best friend Greyson comes over, I set up a bed on Gavins floor for him to take a nap. The day after Greyson leaves he always wants to take his nap on the floor just like his buddy. I walked in yesterday to check on him, and this is what I found, ha ha. He fell asleep hiding from someone.

Date Day

Friday morning, we had a very special treat planned for Gavin. One of my girlfriends gave us tickets to a childrens show at the Performing Arts Center, and we decided to take Gavin on a date. Sissy played in the lobby with Chelsea, and we got to be just the three of us. It was so cool. The show was based on the Pigeon Books, and it was super duper cute. We weren't sure if Gavin would lose interest half way thru, we were just going to stay as long as he would last. He LOVED it! He thought it was the coolest thing. We saw it with about 200 elementary school kids, which he thought was great. Now he wants to go to school!  Dude, poop on the toilet and you can go wherever you want. Anyways, it was so fun just being the three of us. It rarely happens. I know Gavin liked not having to share us, even if it was only for 50 minutes. Thanks Chels and Jason for such a fun morning.

Later on the night, the HUbby and I got to go on a grown up date to Mortons Steak House. Don't get excited, we had a gift certificate, we're not ballers like that. It was fun. We were laughing because we are SO not used to eating at fancy shmancy places like that... we eat grilled cheese sandwiches at Red Robin.  The food was AMAZING! Seriously, so good. It was fun not to have to share my food, or eat so fast I can't even taste it. We needed a wheel barrel to get us to the car, we ate SO much. It was such a fun Friday :)

Here ya go Bri.... the dreaded full body shot. I think its funny the ONE TIME we remember to ask someone to take our picture its out of focus and I'm laughing, HA HA
 a very tasty drink!
The biggest shrimp I've ever seen, and they were sooooo good!

And there it is folks... the take it yourself photo

Life's A Beach

At least today it was. We packed up the troops and beat the heat down at the beach. It was SO fun! We go down to Little Corona, because the waves a little and the beach is short( I don't like to walk a long way to the water), and its never crowded. Gavin was in heaven. He dug holes with his Daddy, we played catch, ate Red Vines, Sissy ate an insane amount of sand,  and we flirted with the waves. Sofia sat on the blanket for the first hour, not too sure about the sand. But by the end of the day she was shoveling it in her mouth. Yuck. The water was FREEZING We're talking like vain numbing, but we still played it in. We were all down in the water. holding hands and lifting Gavin up over the big ones, when he looked up at me and said " Mama, this is the best day ever!" My heart skipped a beat a little. He was right, it was the most perfect day. We enjoyed just being together, just us. No phones, or TV's. No pile of dirty dishes, or mounds of laundry. We just played all day. I wish we could live at the beach. The sunshine just makes me so happy. And toasty........we all got a little toasty.

Get ready..... here come a TON of pictures

Oh yeah...a s we were walking to put our stuff down, I stepped on a stick and did this to my toe. Lovely

Spring Days I HEART YOU!

It was smokin' hot today. Like almost 80 out. I loved it, and so did the babes. I like it because tan chub is cuter than white chub, and the kids loved it because it meant they got to splash the crap out of each other. We decided to play in water. BIG HIT! Sissy girl loved it. Tomorrow is Daddy's day off, thank God, so I think we are going to head down to the beach. I'm excited. I really need to decompress... and the beach just sounds so good. I know my posts have been kind of boring lately, but we haven't done much. We just hang out in our back yard and play. Sorry if its dull. I happen to really like it, but I can see how it could look kind of dull to someone who isn't as OBSESSED with my children as I am.
What can I say, we are simple folk.
With simple lives.
No big fancy vacations or weekend getaways.
Just a big plastic water table
So, if this is boring to you, don't check back tomorrow because I plan on taking a zillion pictures of my kids playing in the sand. And they will all probably look the same, but I will love them all, and post the, all. ha ha
