My babes are sick, the hubby works ALL flippin' weekend, and it makes me grouchy.
I wish I was somewhere beachy and not stuck inside wiping boogers and handing out doses of Tylenol, watching Toy Story on a continual loop.
I'm tired

Sunday we threw a Circus Birthday Party for Gavin and Sofia. The boy turned 3 and the Sissy will be 1 in two weeks. This was my first "official" party..... I mean one I have gone all out on, and let me tell you, it was A LOT of work, but I loved how it turned out. The kids had a blast, and that made it all worth it!
Yummy treats! Popcorn cupcakes and Lollipop cookies. The Candy Table
Cotton Candy and Pop Corn bags full of clown noses and other goodies
The Spread ...... carnival food! Mini burgers, corn dogs, fruit, and SUGAR!
I found these plastic hot dog boats in the dollar section at Target. I got 16 for $4.00
We played Pin the Nose on the Babes, ring Toss, Knock The Cans Over, and the old school Mid Way Game Shoot The Duck. I didn't get pictures of all the games :(
Sofia kissing the picture of her Brother
I found a Face Painting Kit at Michaels and had a coupon so it was only $8.00 and the kids LOVED IT!
Funny Photo Booth Pictures
Happy Birthday TO YOU!

Oh Mothers Day
This Mothers Day will go down in the books as one to remember. The hubby let me sleep, divine, and when I woke, there were cinnamon rolls, coffee, and FOUR bouquets of flowers waiting for me. Lucky me! The babes were extra rambunctious, so I knew we were in for a wild day, and it was only 8:30. All I wanted to do was loaf around in my pj's and do nothing, but the hubby had something up his sleeve. In my Mothers Day card, in which Gavin scribbled I LOVE YOU and Sofia kissed with blueberry stained lips, was a clue that there was a nice little treat waiting at Anthropologie. So we decided to get dressed and venture out. Oh wait.... its wasn't that easy. Gavin had an episode, in which resulted in him spitting at me, a swipe of hot sauce down his tongue, barf, a cold shower, and me crying the bathroom. Sounds fun right??? Oh Motherhood. This little boy of mine has picked up this sick dirty habit of sticking his tongue out and spitting. I don't like it AT ALL! think its an awful dirty, very disrespectful thing to do, and after TOO MANY warnings, I told him if he did it again, I would put hot sauce on his tongue. Well, of coarse he did it again, and I put the SMALLEST dab of hot sauce on my pinky finger, swiped it down his tongue, and he FREAKED! Puked actually, from trying to scrape it off of his tongue. Not our best moment, but he stopped spitting.
Anyways, so after we composed ourselves and promised to be nice, we headed to the Spectrum. I couldn't get to Anthropologie fast enough. I told the girl at the counter my name, and she came back with a box containing the necklace I have been drooling over for weeks. And with the necklace, a note that led me to Old Navy, where a dress and a gift card were waiting for me. SO FUN right! After some shopping, we lunched, ran into our good friends the Moysa Fam and Gavin and Greyson spazzed out together. Eventually, the babes fell asleep, so the hubby and I shared a piece of Cheesecake on a bench in peace :) When we got back to the car, Steve told me to look under my seat. There was another card with a gift certificate for a pedi :) He did a good job didn't he??!!!! It felt so nice to be so pampered. We headed home and threw on cozy clothes and played the rest of the day. And not one picture was taken, Can you believe it???
I think its funny that it was such a hectic day. It just goes to show that Motherhood isn't always smooth sailing. Sometimes its hard and makes you burst into tears, but its still the best thing in the world. Thank you Gavin and Sofia for being the the best gifts a mama could ever ask for. And thanks to my hubbs for all the extra little treats ;) I love you guys to the moon and back!

A Fun Night
Last Thursday night we tucked the babes in bed, put on our big kid clothes, and headed out for a DATE NIGHT! This time it was a DOUBLE DATE night! We met up with Chelsea and Bobby, and of coarse, had a BLAST! I have decided that Downtown Fullerton is fantastic, and we will be going there much much more. There are so many little places to eat, live music, and fun little bars to grab a drink in. And the company couldn't have been any better. Chelsea and Bobby are the easiest, most fun, HILARIOUS people we know. I am so glad that after ALL these years, we are buds again! We just love them. So, here's to another date night..... hope its SOON!
P.S. Apparently all I know how to do is take one handed photos of myself and whoever is standing next to me! Someone PLEASE take the camera next time so my chubby face isn't smashed up against the lens

Homemade Mothers Day
Ta-Da. I made this little beauty for my Mama for Mothers Day. I love how it turned out. A perfect little necklace to spruce up a plain white tee. I love anything home made, and so does my Mom. She LOVED this! I think I'll make one for myself now :)

Getting Big
To be a mother is the most indescribable feeling in the world. The amount of love that you feel everyday for your babes is mind blowing. To get up day in and day out and have to be your best self, so that your children learn how to be good people, is the hardest most demanding, most gratifying job. Hands Down. These two babes make me better. In every way possible. A better friend, and better wife. They have taught me patients and humility. I have loved harder, cried harder, laughed harder, been beyond exhausted, fed up, and blissfully happy...... most times all in one day. They will never ever ever know how much I owe them, just for being born.
And being all mine.
This month my Son will turn three and 15 days later, Sofia will turn a year.
When did this happen. When did my dream of someday being a mama, turn into a reality? I swear I put them to sleep all swaddled and cozy, smelling like Baby Lotion and breast milk just last night. I remember the first time I felt them in my belly. The first contraction, the first push. And just like that, they were here. And now, just like that, they are big. Now they smell like peanut butter and jelly and gold fish cracker. And they no longer need to be swaddled and rocked to sleep. Watching them grow is so wonderful, but it makes me sad at the same time. And my mind wanders and I think of the day they leave the house to start a life of their own. The day they find their soul mate and get married. The day they have babes of their own. The days when they wont need me to help them open a bottle of water, or buckle their car seat, read them a bed time story, or kiss an imaginary boo boo.
Time goes by so fast.
Gavin you have turned into this perfectly rambunctious smart little man. You play hard and don't stop till the sun goes down and its time to sleep. You let me kiss you anytime I want, and you tell me you love me and always will. You are my best guy. My partner in crime. My helper. I love you so much. Some days I catch myself staring at you, amazed my your long eye lashes and perfectly round big brown eyes. Proud that I made you. Proud that I am your mama. You melts my heart.
I love you both way down deep to my bones. Sometimes so much that it takes my breath away. You are my greatest adventure. I can't wait to see what next year has in store
Love,
Mama

Say Yes To The Dress
Yesterday was a big day. I went wedding dress shopping with one of the best friends I'll ever have. Whitney wanted all her girls there to help her make her decision on which dress to wear for her BIG DAY! Her Mama, her Nana, and her Maids Of Honor. We sipped our champagne and laughed, and talked about the wedding day, played with veils and fake flowers, and then Whitney stepped out of the fitting room, and we were all silent. She was beautiful. No not beautiful, STUNNING. There she was, my sister, standing before us in a dress that seemed to be made especially for her, and we were speechless.
It was the perfect moment
the perfect dress,
the perfect day.
Ted is one LUCKY BOY to have snagged this lady, and he is going to be FLOORED when he sees her walk down the aisle. ANd I will be crying like a baby, just like I did yesterdayI love you Whit. You are my family, and I am so grateful to have shared such an enormous day with you. I can't wait till the wedding!

Sunday Round Up
This past Sunday Daddy had the day off so we spent allllllll day in our pj's. We drank our coffee and milk, and read the paper outside in our tent. Soaking up the sunshine, and each other
Daddy flew Gavin soooooo high. Every time he threw him up, my stomach was in knots, but Gavin yelled "HIGHER HIGHER!"
Sissy Girl picked flowers, as usual, and showed off her new trick. She is officially walking now. She walked pretty much all weekend
My Sweet Little Slugger perfected his swing
And we attempted to take a family photo..... this is what we ended up with
We did nothing, but play and eat and play some more. We did shower up and make a Target run, but came right back home, put our comfy clothes back on, and lounged around. It was wonderful. I love family days. I remember those moments 100 times more than any big event or outing.
Sunday evening our good friends came over for dinner. We laughed so hard, and ate yummy food. These two are going to make AMAZING parents some day. They love our babes so much, and our babes love them back times a million.
