A Whole Lotta Pumpkin Patch
This post is a hodge podge of Pumpkin patch pictures form two different outings. Be prepared its just a ton of random cute pictures of my ridiculously cute babes :)
trying to get them to both look at the camera is a joke. This is as good as it gets :)
I love this picture. Her little hands on her Brothers leg to make sure he doesn't fall off.
Micky's Halloween Party
We decided WAY last minute to take the babes to Disneyland for their Trick Or Treat Party, and it dod not disappoint. The kids had so much fun and came home with enough candy to feed a village.
9.5 pounds of it to be exact. Yup, thats right, we have a butt load of candy at our house

Oh Mother
Days at our house have been pretty much chaos the past week. Its been wet and cold out so we've been stuck inside a lot. If you've ever met my kids, you know this is not what they like to do. They are the outside type. On top of being cooped up, we are all going thru a growth spurt . The Girl thinks she's bigger than she is, which leads to lots of falling down and frustrated tantrums because she can't do what her brother can. The Boy has been in a funk for a while. but our inside play has heightened the situation. He is testing his boundaries in EVERY way he can, and when he doesn't get his way, look out. If I have to repeat myself one more time, I might loose it. I swear I feel like I've done lately say " Don't touch your Sister" or " Guys Please keep your hands to YOURSELF', Its like a freakin' circus in our house.
I think this is the hardest age for me right now. She's becoming more independent but can't quite keep up with the big kids, and he's growing out of the baby phase and into the awkward boy pain in the butt phase. I'm trying to find a way to get us back on track without running for the hills. My days have been long and exhausting. I'm pretty burnt out. Lets' face it, what Mama isn't. Anyone who says their not is a big fat liar. Enter my growth spurt. I've been struggling lately to balance it all. I finally came to the conclusion that a mamas job is tough, and it sucks somedays, and instead of beating myself up about the bad days, I need to cut myself some slack. There is this weird thing that Moms do. We give off the impression like we've got it all together so we don't look bad to others.
Well you know what
SCREW IT
If there is one thing I've learned its that this motherhood thing is HARD work, and all we can do is be honest and open about out journey and try and do it as gracefully as we can. Even if we have boogers in our hair and our showers consist of wiping off yesterdays make up with a baby wipe. I don't care if that sounds gross or uncool , its the truth. I think we all owe it to each other to be HONEST about the trials and tribulations we all have as mothers. We need to support each other, not try to out do each other. We need to be able to say when our days are rough instead of covering it up with a smile and a fluffy story.
So, heres to a better day tomorrow. If I can get it down to three melt downs instead of five, my day will be a success. And to all my Mama friends, keep on truckin' ladies. Although are days are crazy and stressful, and the only quiet time we get is after our babes have gone to sleep and we're washing dishes, its a pretty cool life. And our babes will appreciate all of our hard work someday.

Rain Rain Rain
Its raining buckets outside.
Thunder and Lightening and all, which means no outside play. We've been baking and building forts, collecting acorns ( craft to come), and watching movies.
These two are turning into little monsters, but I love love love this wet weather.

The New Man of The House
Son,
You did it again. You grew up this week, and, just like I always do when this happens, I'm having a panic attack because you are moving farther away from my baby and closer to big kid land. All of a sudden you can cut up your piece of chicken without any help. Yesterday you hoped in your car seat and buckled all the buckles, even the tricky bottom one. You can push your sisters straw into her Capri Sun and pull back the lid to the apple sauce for your morning snack. You can pour yourself a bag of pretzels and pop a movie into the DVD player. You can even wipe your own booty.... a huge deal in our house! These things may seem small to some, but they are huge milestones for us. You are a big boy now, like it or not, and I am so proud of you. Thank you for being my right hand man while Daddy is at work. Maybe next week we'll teach you to drive
I love you to your bones

Oh Sissy Girl
Oh Baby Girl,
Today you picked up an old piece of cereal that you found in the back yard, out it in your mouth and said "Mmmm Mmm". On Saturday, instead of running in the sprinklers with the other kids, you laid on your belly and sipped water from a mud puddle. You lick rocks, eat dirt, and growl at babies. You wave hello to everyone you see and make friends every where you go. Your missing a front tooth and it makes your smile that much more adorable. This week, you have mastered the art of throwing yourself on the floor and crying like someone pinched you. Its pretty fun that one. I know its payback for the millions of prissy hissy fits I threw when I was little. Your brother and I can't help but laugh as you roll on the floor screaming because you can't have a drink of my coffee. You want everything your brother has, exactly like he has it. We have entered the stage where I have to buy two of everything, or no one is happy. You steal his water cups and run away. If he has a fork, you want one. No, actually, you want his. You think hitting is funny, and that a kiss makes it ok to do so. You like to have your toes painted. And just recently, you want me to hold you ALL the time. No one else, just me. As heavy as you are, I secretly like this :) You think your brother is the coolest thing in the world, and everything he does, you do.
Oh, Sissy, you are a naughty little babe, but you have us all wrapped around your little finger.
I wouldn't have you any other way baby girl.
I love you to your bones.

Weekly Wrap Up
This week was one of the best weeks I've had in a long time.
Tuesday started Steve's first day of a 9 day vacation.
Thats right, 9 days of non stop Daddy action.
Needless to say, we are in heaven having him home
So far , this is what we've done....
We got SUPER lucky and scored a beachfront cottage for the night down in Crystal Cove.
It was amazing. We were steps from the beach and even though we were only 12 miles from home, it felt like we were a world away.
I didn't want to leave
One happy little boy
don't adjust our screen, she IS drinking sea water!
dug holes in the sand with friends
watched amazing sun sets
Gavin and I woke up extra early on Wed morning and sat out and watched the waves roll. We snuggle in our towels and talked about what we thought the dolphins were eating for breakfast and how lucky we were to have been able to come here. I have a pretty cool little boy and I am so grateful for all the little moments I get to spend just me and him.
Ww packed up and headed home Wed night and slept pretty much all of Thursday.
Friday morning we woke up to thunder and rain. Go figure.
We loaded our cups full of coffee and headed to the backyard to let the babes run wild in the huge rain
drops.
Gavin tried to figure out how it was raining while the sun was out, and Sissy tried to catch the rain in her mouth.
Saturday we headed to my parents house and went to the Peltzer Farms Pumpkin Patch. It was such a beautiful day.
