The Boy Turned 5

 My baby turned 5 last Saturday. How this is possible I'm still not sure. I feel like the older he gets the faster time goes by. Its the double edged sword of parenthood. I love watching him grow but I miss my baby.

 A little Snow on the Go. Its my new obsession  

We headed to the beach for Birthday breakfast and they brought him a cinnamon roll with a candle and sang him Happy Birthday. He was SO embarrassed 

Then we rode bikes to the Carnival down the street 

No Birthday is complete without a creepy mustache and a pirate patch

Gavin,
I can't believe you are five. We made a deal remember? When you were about five days old. I whispered in your ear while we laid in the big bed and you promised me that you would stay little a squishy forever. And now look at you. You are this beautiful, smart. hilarious, kind, crazy, little boy. I miss those baby days so much, but I have to say that watching you grow into this perfect little boy has been the most rewarding journey of my life. So, I guess I'll let you off the hook for going back on your promise, as long as you swear to let me kiss you whenever I want, even if your 30.

Babes Birthday Party

 Its Birthday Season around these parts. I think this might be the last year I can combine my babes parties.... not sure how I can mix super heros, legos, and princesses next year. This month has been so busy with weddings and Mothers Day, so I decided on something really simple and quick. Our best friends, famiy, a ton of ice cream, and bubble machines and these babes were in HEAVEN!

Thanks to everyone that made this day so special. I can't believe I have a 5 and almost 3 year old.

Finally a Creative Moment

I haven't done anything Creative in a very very long time. My days have been so jammed packed I feel like I just haven't really had the time. Yesterday after I took the boy to school, Sissy and I got lost in the fabric store for a bit, searching for fun bright new fabrics to make some new summer bows.

Bed Bugs

Tonight this sweet boy of mine asked if he could snuggle in my bed and watch a toon before bedtime. Straight out of the bath smelling like bubbles and baby lotion, cozy in his Jammie's. I think we are both in heaven.

I love moments like this that remind me how precious my time with my babes is.

Now back to Phineas and Ferb

Here Comes The Sun

Last week it was pouring rain and today we are slipping and sliding, tanking our legs and eating ice cream for lunch !
